Fr. Pasquale Vuoso, C.R.I.C., invites the faithful to recall their sins in preparation of the Sacred Liturgy.

May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.

Fr. Charles Lueras, C.R.I.C., proclaims the Gospel of Saint John.

Jesus said to the Jewish crowds: “I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”

The homily.

Fr. Pasquale invites all present to be ever more devoted to our Lord Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.

Fr. Pasquale now prepares the gifts of bread and wine for the Consecration.

Lord, God, we ask you to receive us and be pleased with the sacrifice we offer you with humble and contrite hearts.

At the Preface of the Holy Eucharist we sing our praises in adoration.

… In this great Sacrament you feed your people and strengthen them in holiness, so that the family of mankind may come to walk in the light of one faith, in one communion of love … Holy, Holy, Holy Lord …

The many faithful present assisting at Mass.

He took the bread, broke it, and said:

“Take this, all of you, and eat it: this is my body which will be given up for you.”

He took the cup, and said:

“Take this, all of you, and drink from it: this is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant. It will be shed for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me.”

Holy Communion.

Fr. Pasquale exposes the Blessed Sacrament.

The Prayer after Communion.

Lord Jesus Christ, you give us your Body and Blood in the Eucharist as a sign that even now we share your life. May we come to possess it completely in the Kingdom where you live for ever and ever. Amen.

Exposition begins.

O saving Victim, open wide,

The gate of heav’n to us below,

Our foes press on from every side;

Your aid supply, your strength bestow

To your great name be endless praise,

Immortal Godhead, One in Three;

O grant us endless length of days

In our true native land with thee. Amen.

O salutaris Hostia,

Quae coeli pandis ostium.

Bella premunt hostilia;

Da robur, fer auxilium.

Uni trinoque Domino

Sit sempiterna gloria:

Qui vitam sine termino,

Nobis donet in patria. Amen.

The Gospel of Saint John is read.

Jesus said to the Jews: truly, truly I say to you, he who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if anyone eats this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh.

The Gosepl of Saint Mark is read.

Jesus saw a great throng, and He had compassion on them for they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things. Then He commanded them ail to sit down in groups, by hundreds and by fifties. And taking five loaves and two fish He looked up to heaven and blessed and broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the people; and He divided the two fish among them all. And they took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish. And those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.

Those present attentively hear the Gospel.
