The «Friends of the Canons Regular» is an association of lay, religious and priests, with the character of a Third Order, that commit themselves to strive for Christian perfection, inspired by the canonical tradition and spirituality which is lived out in the Congregation of the Canons Regular of the Immaculate Conception.
 

     The «Friends» desire to participate in the charism of the Canons Regular:

X   through love of the Sacred Liturgy;

 

X   in the celebration of the Divine Office (Liturgy of the Hours), which is the public Prayer of the Church;

 

X   by living a profound spiritual life in dialog with God through personal and communal prayer;

 

X   through a filial devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, who was given to us by Christ as our model of listening, availability and response;

 

X  and by living the Commandment of love towards our neighbor with a spirit of humble service and of fraternal friendship and collaboration in the parish community, in the family, in the work place, and in the social environment.

 

     The «Friends of the Canons Regular» does not obligate its members by irreversible and definitive choices or  “vows.” Rather, the intent of the association, after short rite of acceptance, is to foster a more generous response to the call of living out ones baptism, in order to grow in the love of the Church, in communal charity, in Marian piety and to work towards holiness according to each ones proper state in life. Association is annual and  renewable.
