Dom Gréa House Building Project ——————————————

    

      We are interested in several properties in and near Santa Paula where we can finalize our plans for a new Dom Gréa House and we are poised to act when the right opportunity presents itself. We desire to remain in Santa Paula and are blessed to have those who are working with us as members of our parish of St. Sebastian in Santa Paula.

     Our realtor, Anita Pulido of RE/MAX Gold Coast Realtors, a long-time resident of Santa Paula and a member of our parish, St. Sebastian, is diligently working with us to secure the right property as well as assisting us in other areas of this project.

     Our architect, Anthony Grumbine of Harrison Design Associates, Santa Barbara, and our Consulting Contractor, Clark Tulberg of Tulberg Construction, both residents of Santa Paula and members of our parish of St. Sebastian, have been  working closely with us in developing the plans for our new house.

     The new Dom Gréa House will be able to accommodate the present members of our community as well as our elderly members and the men in various stages of their formation. Once formation is completed the newly ordained priest or consecrated brother will remain in Santa Paula to assist us in our work and prayer. We will also be able to welcome priests and religious who are visiting the area. The new house will provide a place for other religious activities such as retreats, and days of recollection for the community of Santa Paula.

 

 

 

 

Planning ——————————————————————————

 

     Our planning includes these elements:

 

X   Rooms to accommodate 15 Canon Regulars, with the possibility for expansion.

 

X   Chapel with choir seating for 24 Canons Regular plus seating for an additional 30 people.

 

X   A library to house our extensive collection.

 

X   An architectural design in the Spanish Revival style that will enhance the surrounding area and Santa Paula.

     We have been blessed in many ways and we are grateful to those who have prayed for us and have helped us to grow in our vocations and our lives in the service of our Lord. All who know and love the continued presence of a religious order that is devoted to prayer and work in the parish have a unique opportunity to participate with generous enthusiasm in the $5 million campaign for our new Dom Gréa House.

     Your gift will provide the best kind of legacy for the community we serve along with those we will serve: through giving, you will enable future generations to benefit from the cultural, sacramental, and pastoral presence of a permanent religious house of priests and brothers in Santa Paula and Ventura County, and you will join with us in giving glory to God.
